Bali - Light Roast
Bali Blue Moon
Dark chocolate, vanilla, black pepper: earthy, spicy and syrupy
The coffee growing industry in Bali was jumpstarted by government aid after the eruption of the Gunung Agung Volcano in 1963. The results of the island wide coffee growing campaign have been stunning, producing quality coffees that have gained attention for their unique flavor profiles. This coffee is beyond organic: pesticides are banned on the island, all of the fertilizers are 100% organic and the coffee is grown to the guidelines of the Rainforest Alliance. Coffee growing in Bali follows their traditional Subak Abian structure, which is similar to a farmer cooperative, and the push for coffee growing in the region has resulted in enhanced agricultural technology, as well as better economic and social standing.
