French Roast - Dark Roast Decaf
Bittersweet chocolate, hints of cream and smoke: bold, balanced and roasty
We use our Colombian coffee to make our French Roast, the darkest roast we offer. The Colombian beans are denser and hardier than most and can handle the extra heat needed to make a dark roast. While most dark roasts take beautiful coffee beans and turn them into smoky, oil covered bits of carbon, our French Roast keeps the natural sweetness of the beans while still offering the dark, chocolatey smokiness that dark roast drinkers love.
Our Water Processed Decaf coffee is sourced from lots selected based on cupping evaluations. After selection, the green coffee is pre-soaked in water to expand the beans for caffeine extraction. The beans are then introduced to a solution concentrated with coffee solubles that extract the caffeine without extracting the coffee’s particular flavor. This creates decaf coffee without any chemicals used, while preserving the flavor of the coffee, for an excellent decaf cup!
These coffees are selected by taste to provide the best decaf coffee using a blend of coffees across the growing regions for a balanced and flavorful cup.
